I’m very excited to announce that my debut children’s picture book, The Problem with Poppy, has arrived! I am thrilled to hold my first ever book in my hands – there’s no better feeling! Thank you to NMC Design+Print for printing it so quickly and professionally, and thanks to Full Media for publishing it. Of course, I must also give thanks to the wonderful Olena Osadcha – your illustrations have really brought my story to life, and you have been so easy to work with. I look forward to collaborating with you all again for the next two books in the Sumatran Trilogy, What’s Troubling Tawny? and Hooray for Heidi!

I was pleased to hear earlier this week that the children’s mental health charity Visyon will be giving copies of The Problem with Poppy to their counsellors. They will use the book and the messages in it to help children and young people deal with their own issues in an age-appropriate way. This means so much to me as not only am I helping children overcome trauma and other associated issues, but £1 per book sale will be going to Rainforest Trust UK to save the rainforests and the animals that inhabit them.

You can order The Problem with Poppy from my online shop. As well as buying the book itself, you can also purchase bookmarks and A2 posters of the book.
